Winner of the Prix de Lausanne 1999, Pierre Pontvianne has worked with various companies internationally including Nederlands Dans Theater, Frankfurt Ballet and Carte Blanche. He also worked on a number of alternative choreographic projects before founding the company PARC in 2004 in Saint-Étienne, with Émilie Tournaire and Pierre Treille.

Since 2012 Pierre Pontvianne’s work has been presented in a large number of festivals: Festival des 7 Collines, June Events, Biennale de la danse, Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine Saint-Denis, Festival Pharenheit, Festival Sens dessus-dessous, Festival Antigel, Festival International Les Brigittines, Festival Faits d’Hiver, Festival de Danse de Cannes, among others. His work has also been shown in venues such as : Scène Nationale de Gap – Théâtre la Passerelle, Scène Nationale de Blois – La Halle aux Grains, Scène Nationale de Chalon-sur-Saône – l’Espace des Arts, Comédie de Saint-Étienne, ADC de Genève, Arsenic in Lausanne, Korzo Theater in the Hague, Maison de la Danse de Lyon and Théâtre de la Ville de Paris.

For the season 2021/2022, he created Kernel, at the request of the Festival de Danse de Cannes (FR) and is preparing two projects for the Ballet de l’Opéra National de Lyon: the piece BEASTS as well as the solo KOHA.
